This is a short tutorial on converting your WMA files to MP3 format using iTunes as the converter.
iTunes makes a nice easy converter if you have a large group of files to convert.
If you are looking to convert or edit just a few files I recommend using Audacity.

As a new Google + user (finally) I can’t really say as of yet whether it’s good or bad.
So far I really like the layout and I like the “Circles” feature that allows you to seperate your groups better than Facebook does.

A secret file has been discovered on the IPhone that records your location and stores it on the device in an un-encrypted format. Meaning, anyone who has access to the device (or to your computer that you use to backup the device) will have access to read it.

It isn’t clear yet what the data is used for and Apple has declined to comment as of yet.
Probably a very good idea to make sure your IPhone is password protected in case it gets lost. 
You can set a password by going into Settings, General and choosing ”Passcode Lock”.

Firefox 4 was released to the public today. It represents about a 30% market share
in the browser world that is still dominated by Internet Explorer.
Both Chrome and Firefox are great browser alternatives and seem to be gaining an
edge on IE in terms of speed, security and compliance with internet standards.

Microsoft has released Internet Explorer 9 for it’s Vista and 7 operating systems. Windows XP users will need to continue using IE8 (or switch over to a better browser such as Firefox). Microsoft is claiming that a driver issue prevented them from releasing this version on XP but in reality they just want to force users to upgrade to Windows 7. Looks like Google has another winner as it passes RIM in the smartphone wars.
Apple is still hanging on to it’s 30% market share (that Steve Ballmer said it could never get) and Microsoft is…well…not doing that much. I am going to venture a guess to say that
in another year, Android will have a 60% market share. Apple will probably lose a few people to the Android market due to most of the apps on Android being free. Apple will probably keep 25% of the market and Microsoft and RIM will get the table scraps that are left. Sorry Microsoft, it’s a Google world and you are just living in it.

Blackberry finally released the long awaited upgrade to OS6! The 9700 users have been waiting a while for this one. Doesn’t look like it’s available with every carrier yet but you should be able to update via your blackberry desktop manager application.

If you are a Gmail user and you don’t use Google docs you are missing out! Google docs allows you to create text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, image documents and even fillable forms such as questionnaires that you can post online so people can add responses. Google docs can be accessed anywhere that you have an internet connection so it’s perfect for working on a file without having to worry about saving it on a thumb drive and bringing it with you. One of the many features I like is that is saves your file as you work on it so you will never lose your work do to a crashed computer. Google also lets you upload your existing docs (up to 1GB) to work on or just keep in a safe place. Google docs can be found here: http://docs.google.com and all you need is to sign up. Can’t get much easier and best of all it’s free!

The latest craze in password security is storing your passwords on the web! The site lastpass.com allows you to store your passwords via your web browser. Doesn’t sound real safe to me, but seems to be getting some big name approvals and a lot of press. I prefer to keep my passwords a little closer to home with the application Password Safe (http://pwsafe.org).
Saves all of your passwords in an encrypted file on your local hard drive (or where ever you want to store it) and only requires you to remember one password. Much easier than remembering 30 passwords.
